The group takes a sonic basis from indie groups like Hippo Campus and Bombay Bicycle Club, as well as more soulful acts like John Mayer and Anderson .Paak. Author is a three-piece indie rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, formed by brothers Trevor and Cameron Bartlett and later joined by multi-instrumentalist Zach Zurn. Author found an immediate home in the Twin Cities local music community, regularly playing DIY house-shows and notable venues such as First Avenue/7th Street Entry and the late Triple Rock Social Club. Several major, long-term tours both abroad and domestically created a loyal, passionate fan base for the band. Author’s dreamy, atmospheric soundscapes, pop sensibility, and relatable storytelling paint a picture of the times and places wherein the songs were created. With the recent release of their second full length LP, Author plans to take “I I F O I IC” (Is It Far Or Is It Close) back on the road.

LOUD MOUTH BRASS
Your ears will smile and your toes will tap when you hear Loud Mouth Brass. They’ve played music festivals like MWMF and have recorded a five-track EP of original music. With a splash of New Orleans and a pinch of pop music, Loud Mouth Brass has a tasty musical recipe. While the band’s instrumental arrangements of music spanning the gamut from The Jackson Five to Fall Out Boy will make your feet get the urge to dance, with several originals in the mix, this brassy band still makes sure to keep things fresh. From the top of its blue sousaphone to the bottom of its thumping bass drum, this band exudes fun. The band’s line up consists of Becca Combs-Cawley (sousaphone), Ryan Donohue (tenor sax), Eric Stashek (bari sax), Jon Knutson (trumpet), Nick Novotny (drum set), and John Sievers (trombone). Don’t hesitate to get a little loud because Loud Mouth Brass won’t mind.
