Kimo Hussey Ukulele Workshop & Concert

Kimo Hussey is a much sought after performer and teacher, traveling internationally to ukulele festivals and workshops around the world. Kimo has taught over 10,000 uke-lovers from Japan to Australia, Thailand to Texas and more. He has recorded two solo ukulele CDs, “Eminent Ukulele” and “Low G,” and has participated in several other composite ukulele CDs (including Legends of the Ukulele, Island Style Ukulele 2). He is an author of the multiple award-winning Hawaiian songbook,”He Mele Aloha” which has sold millions of copies around the world and has been translated into other languages.

Kimo will be visiting Rochester, and will offer a ukulele playing workshop, hosted by Threshold Arts at Castle Community. This workshop is your opportunity to learn from and to be inspired by the best! All levels welcome. Kimo will be sharing unique techniques developed over decades of playing. Kimo brings home the importance of playing to your instrument and letting your instrument’s unique voice lead the way. The workshop will be followed by a concert in Les Fields Hall.
